The Ghana Association Credit Union Managers (GHACUM), Ashanti Chapter with support from Dalex Finance, Teksol and Micro Watch brings a period of change, capacity building and opportunity for Credit Unions within Ashanti Region to make significant impact in Ghana’s micro economic sector through its upcoming Midyear seminar for Credit Union Managers.
This year’s event is targeting not only Credit Unions Managers but the top hierarchy Staff in order to maximize the effect of knowledge shared by seasoned facilitators to grow, sustain and transform credit unions in the Ashanti Region into financial institutions of influence.
Themed “Rebranding and digitalization of credit unions for sustainability, in Ashanti Chapter”: the seminar will help managers and board members of credit unions to embrace these changes and make positive strides to operate successfully in the fast-paced technological world.
It will provide key guidance and interpretation of rebranding and digitalization of credit unions that will be an asset to participants by obtaining a market share on the digital market to develop their Credit Unions.
This all important mid-year conference is slated for 14th July to 17th July, 2019 and the venue is Yaguaa Hotel, Asante Bekwei in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
This conclusion was drawn during at a conference held by the association’s at its Asafo office to brainstorm on measures to put in place to sustain its reputation during this challenging period for microfinance institutions in the country.
It sorts among other things to also improve its inter-union relationships to foster growth and education about tax which was presented by a resource person from the Ghana Revenue Authority.
Mr. Kingsford Owusu Ansah, president for the Ashanti chapter of GHACUM encouraged members to attend the mid-year seminar in their numbers and also endeavor to bring other top-ranking personnel of their unions to promote versatility in the running of their various unions.
