Micro Watch, the General Manager of the Ghana Co-operative Credit Union Association (CUA), Mr. Emmanuel Coffie and staff today joined the management, Board and family of the demised General Manager of Emmanuel Co-operative Credit Union Mr. Charles Graham to grace his final funeral rites which was held at Ekwamkrom in Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
The ceremony also saw the convergence of pastors(from the Light House Chapel International and the Prevailing Family Chapel), Credit Union members, Central Regional Chapter of the Ghana Association of Credit Unions Managers(GHACUM),royals from across the central region, politicians, church members, officials of the Department of Co-operatives and friends of the demised Manger.
CUA’s delegation included; the Supervisory Head of Deposit Guarantee; Mr. William Adu-Adjei and Mr. Johnson Wotu; Supervisory Head of Financial Services were present to render their support in kind and cash to the Union and the family of the deceased.The delegation was later received by the former and current Board of Directors(BOD) of ECCU which constituted Mr. Dominic Essel, Christopher Panford, Agnes Acquah, Juliet Asante, Grace Biney and other management and staff at the ultra-modern office of ECCU at Mandela, a suburb of Swedru.
The Central Regional Chapter of the Ghana Association of Credit Unions Managers (GHACUM) which the late Manger was a member, was also present in their numbers to show their love and support.
The funeral commenced with a short prayer and filing pass the mortal remains of the deceased. It continued with the biography of the late Mr. Graham. The former secretary to the BOD, Mr. Dominic Essel presented tributes on behalf of the BOD, Management and staff of ECCU.
CUA also a read a tribute in which the late manager of ECCU was commended for his contribution to the Credit Unions movement in Ghana.
A sister of the deceased, Mrs. Rebecca Adobaw Baidoo-Wireko read a tribute on behalf of her siblings.
The widow Mrs. Faustina Graham had her tribute read on her behalf whiles her eight-year old daughter, Nhyira Soronko Adobaw-Graham read her tribute by herself.
