The Micro-Credit Association of Ghana (MCAG) has refurbished the Mental Health Unit of the Koforidua Regional Hospital and also donated various food supplies, toiletries and other items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis as its Corporate Social Responsibility to commemorate the Associations tenth Anniversary and Annual General Meeting.
Present at the event were Board of Directors of MCAG and some members who joined the Medical Director of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, Dr. Kwame Anim Boamah and other staff of the hospital to officially open the revamped private wards at the mental health unit of the facility.
The Board Chairperson, Mrs. Regina Kumi was joined by the Executive Secretary of the Association Mr. Ebenezer Quartey inspect the wards and also present the donated items to the Mental Health Unit of the Hospital.
Dr. Boamah appreciated MCAG for this milestone project geared towards enriching mental health care in a sound environment. He urged the Association to continue to support the mental unit to enable them extend their services to all that need them.
Mr. Ebenezer Quartey, his discourse noted that the Association will revisit the hospital’s demand for a partnership that promote consistent support to improve the mental health unit that has so many needs.
Dr. Seth Otchere Danquah, the out-going Zonal Chair for Eastern and Volta his presentation explained that the philosophy of Micro Credit institution is centered on backing up the disadvantaged in the society to attain a better life and this could only be achieved in a healthy society. Therefore the mission of the association is dependent on good health.
MCAG as will hold a Dinner and Awards Night at the Capital View Hotel in the Eastern Regional capital Koforidua on September 18, 2019 followed by its Annual General Meeting and Climax of the 10th Anniversary celebration on September 19, 2019.
